About Matt Nguyen
Experienced Educator: Over the past decade, Matt has taught law and policy to hundreds of students attending K-12 public schools and our nation’s top universities.
Constitutional Rights Advocate: Matt has partnered with the ACLU and NAACP to advance landmark civil rights litigation on behalf of hundreds of thousands of children and families. He also co-founded an advocacy coalition to protect the fundamental rights of parents and kids.
Education Policy Expert: Matt has received national recognition for his work in education law and policy. Through his extensive advocacy, Matt has challenged school segregation, empowered teachers, and secured hundreds of millions in new funding for neighborhood public schools.
Homegrown Leader: Born and raised in Orange County, Matt is the son of Vietnam War refugees, an Eagle Scout, and a graduate of K-12 public schools, UC Berkeley, and Yale.
Matt is a trusted leader in Orange County’s Vietnamese American community.
